GLASS MICROFIBRE FILTERS · With binders
DESCRIPTION
![]() |
Recommended filters for controlling both air and water pollution and as a pre-filter for membranes |
- Made of 100% borosilicate glass fibres with binders.
- Glass fibre filters absorb the finest particles down to 1 µm from liquids, in air and gases, aerosols with even 0.3 -0.5 µm are separated.
- The large surface area (about 2 m²/g)provides an outstanding retention capacity.
- Extremely low content in alkali-earth metals.
- Chemical stability: It keeps all its properties in contact with acid solutions (except hydrofluoric acid) and/or basic solutions at moderate concentrations.
- Stability at high temperatures: It keeps its properties up to 500 ºC, and 180 ºC for GF10.
- High flow speed and high permeability to air.
- Usable as Pre-filter for membranes to prevent the membranes from silting up.
- FPGF9 can be used as membrane prefilter instead of the former grade GF92.

APPLICATIONS
Ref. FPGF6- Deposition of (radioactive) aerosols, monitoring of nuclear power plants.
- Gravimetrical analysis of organic and inorganic impurities in water and waste water.
- Measurement of scintillations.
- Removal of preteins in beer samples.
- For applications in compliance with DIN 5399.
- Measurement of immission, measurement of dust in air and gases, monitoring of the efficiency of filtration and dedusting, monitoring the combustion air of power plants and of steel and iron industry, purification of compartment airs.
- FPGF9 can be used as membrane prefilter, it offers the same performance like the formely used grade GF92.
- Deposition of carbon black.
- Filter belts for automatic air filtering equipment.
Notes for handling
Weight consistency: No relevant changes in weight due to variations in the ambient humidity.
Limited bending resistance. Brushing against other surfaces may cause the loss of fibres (keep the filters in their original box until their use).
